Despite an official ban declared by the Supreme Court on Friday, January 17th, TikTok was back and active on Sunday afternoon after having gone dark for a few hours. The value of this platform as a marketing tool is immense, particularly where appealing to younger customers—such as Generation Z—are concerned. As Shannon stated: “TikTok is probably at this point the most popular platform for a lot of our clients. A lot of businesses are trying to reach young consumers and a younger audience and what better way to do that than through TikTok, which is really where all the young people are.” Shannon went on to state that The EGC Group has monitored the status of TikTok’s fate for more than a year.
