Canon is a global company that operates in multiple industries, including imaging, office equipment, medical equipment, and more.
Canon challenged EGC to showcase the portability and convenience of their new Selphy CP1200 printer in a compelling video. Our concept, Treasure Hunt, follows a man who sends his girlfriend on a scavenger hunt using printed photo clues—each one leading her to the next destination, culminating in a surprise engagement. The video was featured on Canon’s YouTube channel and shared across digital platforms.
In a world where printed photos are becoming rare, Canon turned to EGC to create buzz for the launch of their new SELPHY CP910. Instead of targeting the masses, we honed in on Crafters—people who truly value printed photos. To grab their attention, we ditched the usual scrapbookers and introduced the Scrap Bikers—a tough-looking but craft-loving gang who live for high-quality prints. This unexpected, humorous twist showcased key product benefits like portability, waterproof prints, and direct-from-phone printing, proving that crafting can be just as bold as it is creative.
In a sea of photo book apps, how do you make yours stand out? That was the challenge Canon posed to EGC with their hdAlbum EZ Photo Book App. Rather than create yet another video demonstrating how easy it is for a busy mom to create a photo book, we turned the idea sideways, and let Dad express his “creative” side. Then, we brought it to life with the help of Director/Comedian, Bonnie McFarlane.
The “It’s Dad Easy” video won a 2019 Silver Telly Award for “Products and Services for Social Video.” The video, ran for five months on Meta and was the highest performing creative for the product.
